At Beat we have every reason to celebrate International Women’s Day! Today, in addition to supporting gender equality, it is a good opportunity for us to take a closer look at our company culture. The talented women we have in our workforce have enormously contributed to Beat’s evolution and this gets bigger every year!
A core element of our culture is to provide equal rights to all, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation or religious beliefs. Our goal is to promote people solely based on their skills and to adhere to a policy of equal opportunities for our employees. After 7 years of operation and activity in four cities around the world (Athens, Lima, Santiago, Bogota) our team consists of 250 employees, 50% of whom are women!
We are proud to have been able to achieve a balance to the proportion of men and women in our team, as tech companies usually tend to attract more male candidates. Also, we have succeeded in eliminating the gender pay gap, since at Beat the average earnings between the two genders do not differ.
We currently employ 18 women in tech positions and many more play a key role in team management and decision-making. Eight women are currently in the top management of our company, leading groups and large departments. Our goal is, of course, to increase them considerably. By the end of this year, we’re aiming at making more than 100 new hires across all markets we operate in
