Beat participated in ANDICOM 2019, the most important ICT Congress in Latin America and a significant meeting point for the industry in the region. As a technology company with a main growth focus in Latin America, it was the perfect occasion for us to share our knowledge and support the development of the region.
Mauricio López, Beat’s General Manager in Colombia, mentioned during his business talk:
“Our presence in ANDICOM is triggered by our desire to show the world what makes us different. At Beat, we are a team of players that brings together the best qualities of our employees to the operation and service that thousands of people in Latin America trust on a daily basis”.
The main theme of this year’s Congress was Turning on your business: the Digital Toolbox. The keynotes provided the participants with learning scenarios to discover ways to activate their businesses: from talent capacities and the knowledge of new technologies to marketing strategies, the use of innovation methodologies, and more. All these elements are part of the digital word toolbox within the framework of the public policies of Colombia and the Region.
Cecile Novion, Beat’s Regional General Manager for Latin America, delivered a presentation entitled “Culture as a lever for business growth”. Through her presentation, she revealed the secret behind Beat’s hyper growth: Our people.
“Our technology and our talent help us being fast, effective, and efficient in the search for solutions to cover the needs of our users. It also allows us to develop and positively contribute to the quality of life of people in the cities we operate in” .
Transformation to growth is essential for all companies and ANDICOM is the ideal place to embrace some of the most relevant tools to achieve this. People and talent need to be placed in the center of the transformation. As Cecile highlighted:
“It is the human component that has leveraged the company’s growth and placed Beat in a leading position in its operating markets. Being agile and committed to cities makes the company behave as an active member of society. Scaling fast creates the need to focus on culture on a very special level. A strong culture with a defined set of values that comes to life in our everyday activities are the strategic key element that differentiates us from our competitors and make Beat the fastest growing ride-hailing app in Latin America”.
Cecile Novion also participated in an insightful panel discussion around the topic of the Future of Mobility, along with representatives from other key players in the ride-sharing industry. Urban mobility is constantly changing and upgrading, and ride-hailing apps play a significant role in this evolution.
“As part of one of the biggest mobility groups in the world, Beat is actively contributing to the present and the future of how people move in their cities and draws maximum benefit from the opportunities opened up by digitalization, shared services and the increasing mobility needs of our customers. We do believe there is enough space in the industry for all players to create an integrated ecosystem to meet the needs of all citizens by providing a diverse portfolio of services”, Cecile mentioned.
People are building the future of technology, of the industry itself and most importantly, they are shaping the cities of the future. At Beat, we want to bring out the best of the cities we operate in and this starts from within, from our people. That’s why we are constantly in search of great talent to grow our teams worldwide.
