We encourage all riders and drivers to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer often. Moreover, we encourage the use of credit cards. This way none needs to handle cash, a common cause of infection. To help facilitate that, local teams are already working towards distributing sanitiser products from our Driver Centers in addition to general preventive communication materials. In the event of a rider testing positive for COVID-19, please notify immediately our support team. Rider testing positive will be temporarily suspended from using Beat until they are medically cleared.
Passengers can ask their driver for assistance. However, it’s at their discretion if they are comfortable assisting with luggage and personal effects. In any case, we advise all drivers, choosing to assist with luggage or any other personal effects, to wear gloves and/or disinfect their hands before and after coming in contact with any suitcase.
